Donald Trump: The Pussygate Scandal

posted in: Voices | 0
It was in 2005 that Donald Trump was caught on a hot microphone bragging about kissing, and grabbing a woman without her consent and even speaking vulgarly about forcing himself on a woman. The video was released by the Washington post and a transcript of the video was posted  the New York Times website, quote:

“ I did try and f*** her. She was married.”

The video captures Donald Trump on a Access Hollywood bus with former reporter for Access Hollywood, Billy Bush, on their way to a soap opera (“Days of Our Lives”) shooting for Trump to features on a segment of the show. In the audio of the video, Trump discusses his failed advances towards a married woman :

“No, no, Nancy. No, this was [unintelligible]--and I moved on her very heavily.”

After explaining he took her furniture shopping he continues detailing his advances toward the woman:

“I moved on her like a b****. But I couldn’t get there. And she was married.”

During this point of the conversation Bush and Trump pull up to Arianne Zucker, the actress who was meant to guide them to the set of the soap-opera. The conversation continues like this:

“ Maybe it’s a different one.”

“(Bush) It better not be the publicist. No, it’s, it’s her, it’s--”

“Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some tic tacs just in case I start

kissing her. You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful-- I just start kissing

them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they

let you do it. You can do anything.”

Bush then restates it as question to confirm, to which Trump replies:

“Grab ‘em by the pussy. You can do anything.”

Naturally when the story was released, Trump faced sharp criticism by all political parties ad was even encouraged by republicans to drop out of the presidential race. Trump initially apologized, but then excused himself by labeling the conversation as “locker room talk”, then attempting to turn the scandal on to Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton claiming she was married to “the single greatest abuser of women in the history of politics”. Trump continued to be criticized for his derogatory campaign and lewd comments about women several made on live television and radio stations.

This is the future of America, this is our president, a fascist, sexist, xenophobic, racist, 6 year-old tangerine. Thankfully, there have been several anti-Trump protests breaking out nationwide with slogan including “not my president”, “my pussy grabs back”, and “no trump, no kk, no more fascist USA” that have resulted in a recount of votes.
